VOC Testing

Volatile Organic Compounds are carbon based chemicals that evaporate at room temperature. Theses chemicals start off as either a solid or liquid and evaporate as a gas. VOC's are sometimes suspected through their strong odors, where some are completely odorless. To ensure that your home is free of VOC's be sure to get the proper testing done by a licensed professional.

HOW WE TEST

Our VOC testing machines take very in-depth samples that can test in the air for many different chemical compounds. The test results will be available in 1-2 weeks and will be presented with a detailed report along with an explanation of what chemicals are present.

We can test for many different types of VOC's including but not limited to:

  • Acetone
  • Formaldehyde
  • Toluene
  • Methylene chloirde
  • and more

 Some unexpected indoor allergens include:

  • Paint
  • Fossil fuels
  • Caulks
  • Vinyl
  • Carpets
  • Adhesives
  • Composite wood
  • Air fresheners
  • Disenfectants
  • Moth Balls
  • Smoke

We find that those who call us requesting VOC tests can already smell something, or have very serious health issues, but don’t know what the problem is. An example of how are VOC testing services help our clients is one of our clients was concerned about her chronic migraines. We conducted a full VOC test and found that her home had severe levels of acetone in the air caused by a nail salon that was close to her. This is one of the many ways we help people breathe easier and live a safe and comfortable lives in their homes.

VOCs can show in working environments too. Appliances such at copiers, cleaners, and gasses exist in corporate buildings and office just as much as households. Working alongside chemicals for long periods can have severe, long term impact on one's health. Inhaling and absorbing VOCs through the skin
